Re: [Salon] Pompeo: Putin using ‘propaganda, excuses’ to get what he wants

Tucker Carlson is leading the conservative opposition to war with Russia. He led two of his nightly shows last week with commentaries highly critical of the US provoking a war over the Ukraine. Todd, by the way, Willmoore Kendall (were he alive today) would be totally opposed to this neocon, neoliberal attempt to get us into a war with Russia. He was an anti-Communist, not anti-Russia in this post-Communist period of Russian history

Subject: [Salon] Pompeo: Putin using ‘propaganda, excuses’ to get what he wants

This is really getting exciting: I haven’t seen so much enthusiasm and preparations for another US sponsored war since 2003! Nor the partisan unity we’re seeing today with each party’s current, or recent, SOS joining in beating the war drums. Blinken and Pompeo, with the only difference that Pompeo, as would be expected of a recent awardee of the Claremont Institute, is pounding the drums even harder. If that can be imagined with all that Blinken is doing in following the tradition of such past American heroes as Barry Goldwater, Curtis LeMay, Richard Nixon, Scoop Jackson, Newt Gingrich, Paul Nitze, Zbigniew Brzezinski, the CIA-centric National Review, to include such wild-eyed war enthusiasts as Willmoore Kendall was in his life, et al. Blinken has earned elevation into that pantheon of rabid American war enthusiasts with all he has been doing since taking office, as does Trump’s SOS:

And here’s Blinken for comparison:

Hard to tell the difference with Pompeo’s loss of weight. “Good company,” if you think another war will be “good" for the US.

Add to that collection of individuals named above the so-called think tanks working incessantly for war, with the prominent American Enterprise Institute once again leading the charge, and we have the “perfect storm” again for a war, with a nuclear armed “enemy” this time. With real WMD. What could go wrong?
